Dan C. Miehe

Dan was born in Denmark in 1945.His family immigrated to Canada in 1956, and he has lived, worked and played in Alberta ever since.

Dan showed some artistic leanings early in life, and has been involved in art, graphics and photography ever since he destroyed his dads’ camera back in Junior High School. He displayed art work at the Calgary Stampede Art Salon back in high school, and walked away with a second prize and two honorable mentions in his category. He attended SAIT studying photography and commercial art. He has worked in the Art Departments of large and small sign companies, and later in sales.

Dan is presently keeping busy working in a graphics department of a large Edmonton sign company and is doing free-lance graphics and photography in his spare time.

Wandering
Dan Miehe and Richard Connor had a joint showing in the past at Harcourt House Gallery--Richard’s fine paintings, and Dan’s photographs. They now team together again to present visually East West at the Farmers X.
