Bio: Jim Carlson was born in Stettler in 1940, and became a permanent resident of Drumheller in 1998.  Jim’s passion and expression in art is equalled by his passion and expression in life, always seeking the joy and serenity offered by both.

Jim is a self-taught artist, and his subjects range from his neighbour’s backyard
apple tree to coffee shops and plazas in New Orleans. His work has a charm that is immediately apparent.
